Venice, a region found in northern Italy, is a site that a large number of interested parties seek to visit. Its attraction lies not only in its culture, but also in the peculiarity of being transported by gondola through the streets.

It is worth mentioning that the largest flood in history registered 194cm in 1966, an event that caused serious damage and caused the death of one person.
Although the city was prepared for a high tide and remained on alert, the height of the water could not be avoided.
The reality is that climate change is one of the main culprits of the flood, for this reason the Italian Government declared a state of emergency and approved allocating 20 million euros for initial aid, with compensation of 5 thousand euros for the affected neighbors and up to 20 thousand for merchants.
The city council estimates that the damage suffered by the water amounts to one billion euros. .
Until now, UNESCO is evaluating the consequences of climate change, since according to the data it has so far, precipitation and rising sea levels are visible effects of global warming. But in combination with strong winds, they could have caused the extreme flooding that is currently occurring in the city.
At present we have climatic phenomena that we did not see ten years ago, for example, the massive danger of a foreign species of worms that arrived in northern Italy from warmer waters: they attack the wood of the millions of stakes on which Venice rests. .
